For those who know, the sleek garments were all anything fashion girlies of that time wanted to wear. Coming in a variety of colors, the fitted bottoms were often folded down, showing off a bold print and hip bones for all to see. Now that Gen Z have officially declared the death of skinny jeans, we are moving back in time to merge two trends – wide legged and low-rise pants.
These days, Bella Hadid is revamping the look for modern times. The model was seen wearing figure-flattering beige flared pants with an uber low-rise silhouette, courtesy of a wide waistband. Hadid paired her early aughts bottoms with a simple graphic tee and tan handbag, alongside heeled snakeskin loafers. Instagram’s favorite It-girl took to the social media app to show off her Y2k ensemble, posing with her hair and makeup team. Other shots featured the Palestinian-Dutch beauty flaunting her unbelievably flat midriff and back dimples, thanks to the low-cut pants.
